The University aims to provide opportunities for students and staff to participate in sport and physical activity at whatever level they chose.

University life offers a unique opportunity to get involved in sport and physical recreation, so whether your aim is for fun, fitness or achieving your true potential, we hope you will be inspired to engage in sport and physical activity during your time at the University of Suffolk.

The University has state-of-the-art sport and exercise science laboratories which are used for teaching and research.

What's On Offer?

The Students’ Union run Social Sports, which offers a wide variety of different sports to try! They include traditional sports such as badminton, alternative sports like climbing and fitness-based physical activity like Pilates or Aerobics. The sessions are open to everyone from beginners to those who play regularly. For those who take sport more seriously, the Students’ Union also run BUCS teams that compete against other Universities in league and cup competitions.
