Linda trained as a mental health nurse in Ipswich and qualified in 1987. Linda has worked in a variety of clinical settings including acute psychiatric assessment units and longer-term residential support services for those with severe and enduring mental disorders. Linda completed a degree in Psychology in 1999 and qualified as a Best Interest Assessor in 2020.

Linda is Senior Nurse for the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards for the Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board. Part of her role is also to support the implementation of Liberty Protection Safeguards across Suffolk and North East Essex in line with changes in legislation.
