Lisa Reynolds is an experienced mental health nurse academic passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred education and mental health care. Lisa trained at the University of Birmingham, qualifying as a mental health nurse in 1996 and has since held a number of leadership roles in health care and higher education. She has also led research projects focusing on education, risk assessment and mental health care. Her PhD was funded by the Health Foundation and was an observational, grounded theory study of a secure forensic mental health service. 

Lisa is currently employed by Mid and South Essex ICB, working with Health Education East of England as both Head of Clinical Learning Environment Transformation and Head of Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Autism. She leads in enhancing the quality of the clinical learning environment and supporting the response to the All England Plan for Learning Disability and the HEE review of mental health nursing across the East of England.
