Disability and Specific Learning Difficulties

Disability Support

University Campus Suffolk is committed to inclusive learning and teaching and encourages all students who might need additional support because of disability to contact Student Support. We have a Disability Statement| which can also be sent to you on request.

We work with individuals and discuss the best support package to help people succeed in their studies.

We can help with:

• assessment and diagnosis
• specialist equipment
• extra tutorial support
• additional funding applications
• classroom support
• exam arrangements
• liaison with teaching or support staff
• access to external specialist support

Dyslexia Support Service

We can offer the following type of services:

• Individual study support
• Screening for possible dyslexia or specific learning difficulties
• Assessments on-site by an educational psychologist
• Help with applications for Disabled Students’ Allowances (DSAs) - further information about the DSA process
• Help with exam considerations
• Do an online questionnaire “I think I might be Dyslexic” from the British Dyslexia Association.
