Lindsay gained a London Certificate in Art & Design (Surface Design) at Chelsea School of Art; a Cert. Ed. at Garnett College Roehampton; and later a BA Hons degree at Suffolk College.

Having initially worked three-dimensionally, in applied arts/design and sculpture as well as surface pattern, she is now known principally for the atmospheric, tonal drawings of interiors which have provided a focus, since moving to Suffolk, for her continuing preoccupations with light and abstract form. Recent work, however, increasingly blurs the lines between art and design, 2D and 3D.

As well as exhibiting in Suffolk and elsewhere, international venues include St Petersburg, Amsterdam, France and Belgium. She is a long-standing member (ex-Chairman) of the Suffolk Group and Ipswich Art Society, as well as creative groups Bearing O9Oº and SHED.

Lindsay first joined Suffolk College in the FE sector, teaching Art & Design at the High Street annexe.  She joined the degree programme in 1992, and has been a member of the Graphic Design team for the past seven years or so.

As leader of modules in Visual Studies and Visual Development, Ideas-generation and 3D Graphics, she enjoys introducing students to the techniques and approaches; theories and knowledge which she herself has found enlightening.
