August: Relocation of the Waterfront Gallery
UCS is delighted to announce the relocation of the gallery to the waterfront side of the iconic waterfront building. The new location will allow the visitor to experience the art whilst taking in views of the marina. It will be situated next to the new cafe which will offer a selection of beverages and light refreshments for all to enjoy.
To enable this development the gallery will be closed in August and will re-open in its new location on the 7th September.

Up Coming Exhibition
Gill Thomas, Paintings and Drawings 1950 - 2010
7th September - 24th September
Gill Thomas winner of the UCS 2009 Alumni Award will be presenting an exhibition of her paintings and drawings during September 2010 at the newly located Waterfront Gallery on the waterfront.
Gill trained at Birmingham College of art in the early 50's and worked initially as an illustrator in advertising and publishing in London. After combining a career in education with bring up her family she took her B.A in Fine Art /History and Theory of Visual Art at Suffolk College, graduating in 2008 as part of the first graduating cohort of UCS.
Oil portraits have become the main focus of her recent work and she recently held a successful exhibition at Peter Peers Gallery in Aldeburgh and is now represented by the Re + New Gallery in Woodbridge.
The School of Arts and Humanities is delighted to support the UCS 2009 Alumni Award and looks forward to an exciting future of creative events at the newly located Waterfront Gallery.
We are committed to offering our alumni opportunities to exhibit, participate in the life of the School and develop their careers in all areas of the arts and humanities.
