Courses leading to accreditation in practice based teaching and assessing
UCS offers the following modules and courses for Registered Professionals who wish to develop their skills in teaching and assessing students preparing to join their professions.
The Preparation for Mentorship| module is aimed at Nurses, Midwives and Operating Department Practitioners. It is an Honours level (level 6) module that can be taken as a 'stand-alone' module or as part of an extended programme of study leading to a BSc(Hons) award and is recognised by the NMC and the AODP.
The Supporting Practice Learning| module is aimed at all Health and Social Care Professionals. It is an 'M' level (level 7) module that can be taken as a 'stand-alone' module or as part of an extended programme of study at Masters Degree level and is recognised by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, the College of Occupational Therapy, the Nursing and Midwifery Council and the Society and College of Radiography.
The Post Graduate Programme in Education| offers accreditation as a teacher and assessor of students for all Health and Social Care Professionals. There are three courses that can be taken: a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, a Post Graduate Diploma in Education or a Master of Arts degree.
