Welcome to the Research and Enterprise Directorate at UCS. Sitting within the Corporate Office, the Directorate consists of three areas:

The role of the Research and Enterprise Directorate is, primarily, Business and Public Sector Engagement – offering consultancy services, applied research, joint working opportunities and programmes of business-focused training. Dr Penny Cavenagh is the Director of Research and Enterprise
Dr Penny Cavenagh
Dr Penny Cavenagh has a PhD in Medical Management, a Masters Degree in Occupational Psychology and is a Chartered Psychologist. She has also served as a Non Executive Director of Colchester Hospital University Foundation Trust in two episodes, for a total of eleven years.
Dr Cavenagh has a background in Clinical Management in the NHS, Academic Management in Higher Education and is a Fellow of The Higher Education Academy. Her research interests are in Medical Management and Medical Education. She has published and continues to publish in these fields.
She established Health Enterprise at UCS and is co-director of the Suffolk Leadership Academy.
