University Campus Suffolk (UCS) is pleased to announce that its increase in UCAS applications since last year is double the national average. UCS has seen a 46% increase in UCAS applications to all its courses across Suffolk and Great Yarmouth since 2009, while the national average increase in the number of applicants to UK universities and colleges was 23%.
Open Days and Visit Days are attracting record numbers and with the forthcoming opening of a new academic building, purpose built halls of residence on the Ipswich Waterfront and expansion of the facilities at the Centres, UCS is proving an attractive option to prospective Higher Education students.
Lucy Whitmore, Head of Admissions for UCS, said; “It is particularly pleasing that we have seen this significant rise in applications to University Campus Suffolk and this trend is evident across all UCS centres and the Ipswich Campus. UCS offers a course portfolio which is encouraging people to return to study, to either retrain or up skill, making themselves more appealing to employers or more confident in their current profession. This is evident in the areas of Social Work and Nursing for example which have seen significant increases in the number of enquiries and applications received.”
UCS will continue to welcome applications for some of its courses, and is expected to see the demand for places increase further over the next few months. Please call 01473 338000 for information on courses available, support with financing your study and the application process.
