University Campus Suffolk congratulates graduates at Ipswich ceremonies

On Wednesday 28 October and Thursday 29 October, around 900 University Campus Suffolk (UCS) students from the Ipswich Campus, UCS Otley and UCS at Suffolk New College graduated at Ipswich Town Hall and Corn Exchange.

The awards were conferred by Rob Evans, Academic Registrar at the University of East Anglia (UEA) and Professor Andy Downton, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Learning and Teaching) at the University of Essex.

Rob Evans addressed the graduates during the ceremony, "I would like to congratulate you on your achievement. It is an important one in your lives and I would like also to congratulate and thank, on your behalf, your family friends and colleagues that have supported you as well as the staff here at UCS - it is a team effort."

Honorary graduates included Rosie Varley OBE BA MA (Econ), Jo Brand, Sir Stuart Rose, Canon Peter Mortimer MBE TD, Professor David Hall and Professor Chris Green OBE who each attended one of the 6 ceremonies.

On this year's honorary graduates, Richard Lister said, "We are privileged that such highly respected and successful individuals from a range of backgrounds have taken the time to attend these ceremonies and share the occasion with our graduates from UCS."
