University Campus Suffolk Open Day

Sep 10 2008 9:45AM

The next University Campus Suffolk (UCS) Open Day takes place this Saturday 13 September at the Ipswich Campus from 11.00am.

Students attending the Open Day will be able to find out more about the courses on offer in Ipswich, talk to current students and course staff, take a bus tour of some of the student accommodation buildings, learn more about the new UCS building, and discuss any queries they may have about any financial, personal and social aspects of university life. A detailed programme of the day can be found at www.ucs.ac.uk

For students wishing to apply for 2009 entry, the application cycle begins in September 2008 and the UCAS deadline is mid-January. This day will enable students to make an informed decision about applying to UCS and offer advice and guidance on the application process. The Open Day is particularly suitable for those students looking to study closer to home and who wish to remain in the local area.

The Open Day is also suitable for those students who wish to apply last minute for a course starting this September. There are still full and part-time places available on a number of Foundation and Honours degrees starting in September 2008. Interested students should call the Clearing Hotline on 01473 234740 to see which courses still have places available before attending the Open Day.

This will be the last Open Day that UCS will hold in the shared Suffolk New College premises. The next Open Day will take place in the new Waterfront Building on Saturday 11 October.
