First Open Day for new university campus

Sep 25 2006 12:00AM

On Saturday 30 September prospective students will be welcomed to the first University Campus Suffolk Ipswich Open Day. Students will be able to find out more about the plans for UCS, the courses on offer in Ipswich, see the designs for the landmark building in more detail and discuss any queries they may have about any financial, personal and social aspects of university life.

The Open Day will run from midday until 3pm and a detailed programme can be found at www.ucs.ac.uk/opendays. For students wishing to apply for 2007 entry, the application cycle begins in September 2006 and the UCAS deadline is mid-January. This day will enable students to make an informed decision about applying to UCS and offer advice and guidance on the application process.

Richard Lister, Director of Planning and Resources for UCS said “This is a very exciting stage in the development of UCS. For the first time we will be dealing with real students who will become the very first group joining UCS. It is a great opportunity to be in at the start of such a significant development and help us build Suffolk’s new university.”
