Professor Bob Anderson has taken up his post as Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of University Campus Suffolk (UCS). Professor Anderson has had a busy first week with various meetings, introductions, planning and plenty of travelling throughout Suffolk. Professor Anderson will soon become a well known face throughout the county and has a big task ahead of him to get UCS ready for its first intake of students in 2007.

Professor Anderson, said, “I am delighted to be joining this exciting and unique project. This first week has provided an initial insight into what’s in store over the next two and half years, and I am really looking forward to the challenges ahead and working with the project team and our partners across Suffolk building on all the hard work they have put in so far.”

Professor Anderson, went on to say, “UCS is going to offer so much to the Suffolk community. However, we still have a long way to go before the September 2007 intake, but I’m confident that with everyone working together as they are we will achieve all of our goals.”

Richard Lister, Director of Operations at UCS said “Bob’s arrival will give a real boost to UCS. We have achieved a great deal already but the speed of change within UCS will now increase sharply as we work towards the start of UCS in 2007 and the development of campuses in Ipswich, Bury and Lowestoft.”
