University Campus Suffolk School of Arts and Humanities, Lecture Series: Reasons To be Cheerful: The life and work of Barney Bubbles
"Barney Bubbles is the missing link between pop and culture" Peter Saville
27 years after his tragic death, Barney Bubbles is now recognised as one of the most powerful influences on the development of graphic design. Bubbles biographer Paul Gorman examines the extraordinary oeuvre of this mysterious figure who insisted on anonymity yet provided the visual identity for the counter-culture, new-wave and post-punk movements.
The lectures series are primarily for UCS staff and undergraduates but we would also like to extend an invitation to friends who wish to join us at these events.
Admission is free and will be held on Wednesday 10 March 2010 (2-3pm) in Lecture Theatre W0.13 at the Waterfront building, Ipswich Campus.
