Independent, impartial and professional counselling is available to all UCS students. This support is confidential, enabling you to discuss any problems you may have. Counselling can also offer help with exam anxiety, depression, stress, relationship problems and emotional issues.
The UCS Counselling Service offers impartial and confidential counselling that is helpful for a range of feelings and issues.
For example:
-
anxiety
-
sadness
-
loneliness
-
exam anxiety
-
sexual, physical or emotional abuse
-
relationship problems
-
depression
-
stress
-
sexuality and gender concerns
-
feeling a need to make important changes in their lives
These feelings can be caused by a wide range of situations, like the death of a loved one, not getting on with a family member or partner, problems in education or in work. You may feel that you would prefer not to speak to family, friends, or neighbours for a range of reasons – perhaps so as not to burden them. This may be a good time to seek out a counsellor.
