UCS Ipswich and each of the Centres provide up-to-date technology to ensure studying is as easy as possible for all students. Common facilities include Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access), 1GB access to the internet, a personal email address, secure network storage, print and scan facilities, and a collection of multimedia CDs.

All UCS students can access Wolsey (the Virtual Learning Environment), their email account, network storage, course areas and community areas from any internet connected device within or outside UCS.

The Waterfront building in Ipswich offers students access to over 50 dual platform computers with integrated webcams running both Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac software.  These state of the art facilities allow students to use software most appropriate to their studies.

The Waterfront building also has 70 open access high spec PCs scattered throughout every floor for students to use informally, as well as comprehensive wireless coverage.

James Hehir Building

The first floor of the James Hehir Building in Ipswich is home to the i-Lab (Innovation laboratory); an inspirational facility designed for group work, which transports users from their everyday environment into an extraordinary space encouraging creative thinking and problem solving.

There is also informal learning space throughout the building where students are able to access computers and printing facilities.
