UCS Ipswich and each of the Centres provides its students with the tools they need to ensure all students are as well supported as possible. Facilities include more than 100 PCs and more than 70 Macs in the Waterfront Building and the Library Building. The Waterfront Building is open to students 365 days a year. Software includes Microsoft Office, Adobe software, Text Help Read & Write and statistical analysis software. Students will have a personal UCS email address, secure network storage, print and scan facilities.

All UCS students can access LearnUCS (the Virtual Learning Environment), their email account, network storage, course areas and community areas from any Internet connected device. There is also a campus-wide wireless service available to all staff, students and visitors.

The first floor of the James Hehir Building in Ipswich is home to the i-Lab (Innovation laboratory); an inspirational facility designed for group work. There is also the postgraduate study space and an informal learning space where students can access computers and printing facilities.
