From the course team…….
We are very excited about the September 2007 version of the DipHE Operating Department Practice. We listened to feedback from students and clinical staff and constructed the course to build on the strengths of previous programmes and make improvements to the areas considered to be weaknesses. We worked in close collaboration with colleagues within UCS and used their knowledge and experience to input into our programme development in order to produce the best possible student experience.
Our programme ensures that all students will be receiving an education and clinical experience that will prepare them well for their future careers as Operating Department Practitioners.
Clinical staff and especially the mentors will, I am sure, have views on the programme and ideas about how it may be further improved. Feel free to discuss your thoughts and ideas with the clinical placement supervisor, or contact any member of the course team. We welcome your contribution and will also always do our best to answer any questions you may have.
The Operating Department Practice course team value your opinions and consider your feedback vital to the successful running of the DipHE Operating Department Practice course. If it was not for your continued co-operation and hard work with the students then the comments we receive from them regarding their clinical placements, and in particular the mentors, would not be quite so positive.
With grateful thanks,
Hannah Abbott
