Calendar of Mentor Update events

The Nursing & Midwifery Council stipulate that all suitably prepared mentors should take action annually to ensure that their mentoring skills and knowledge of the courses that their students are following is kept up to date. For all Midwives and for Nursing staff of the Ipswich Hospital NHST an update activity is included in the mandatory training day. For staff of other NHS and Primary Care Trusts and for colleagues in the private and voluntary organisations who provide our placements UCS holds regular 'Mentor Update' events. There is no charge for attendance.

'Sign-Off' Mentor Preparation

For Mentors who wish to undertake the processes leading to the achievment of a 'Sign-Off' annotation, as regulated by the NMC, UCS offers further study events - please see Sign Off Mentor Preparation| for details.
