Academic Issues

If a student is in need of advice or assistance in the preparation of academic work for submission to UCS support may be offered by:-

  • Discussing contemporary issues with the student.
  • Alerting students to local policies and/or procedures.
  • Helping the student distinguish 'Public Domain' from internal or confidential documents.
  • Advising the student on useful resource materials.

For other issues, such as advice on assignment content, presentational style or interpretation of assignment briefs, or, if the the students requests for support become greater than can be met locally, the student should be directed to contact their personal tutor.

If this does not resolve the situation advice should be sought from the attached link lecturer - either contacting them directly or leaving a message with the Academic Services Office at UCS (01473 338450). Support can also be sought from other mentors or from Clinical Practice Facilitators if available.
