The School of Business, Leadership and Enterprise currently has around 700 students in total, with a growing international intake, and achieves consistently high employability rates for students graduating with a dynamic global business outlook who are creative and enterprising.
The School has an impressive portfolio of professionally relevant courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels shared between its two divisions: (1) Division of Management, Business and Enterprise and (2) Division of Tourism, Event Management, Heritage and Hospitality.
At the undergraduate level the School has two undergraduate degree suites. These are: (1) the BA (Hons) in Business Management and (2) BA (Hons) in Event, Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure Management. A new specialist undergraduate Foundation and Bachelors Degree in Management of the Heritage Sector also launches in 2013. Furthermore, the School also has a flagship postgraduate and long-established and respected full-time MBA and part-time Executive MBA along with an MSc in Marketing Management. Three more postgraduate degrees have recently been added to the School’s provision for this level of study. These are (1) MSc in Business and Management Studies,(2) MSc in Sustainable Business and (3) MSc in Community Leadership and Social Innovation.
The School has a number world class academics recognised for their international publications with specialisms in a number of disciplines such as information management, knowledge management, leadership, management culture and heritage. Such expertise has enabled the School to attract a large cohort of PhD students from different parts of the world.
The School, which is a member of the Association of Business Schools (ABS) and a Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Approval Centre, has developed strong links with multi-national businesses in the region such as BT, Willis and Muntons who are partnering with the School in new delivery modes, curriculum development, continuing professional development, research and consultancy. The School has ambitious future plans for significant growth in student numbers, further development of its external links and ongoing internationalisation of its curriculum and, above all, provides a rewarding and enjoyable student experience.
