When everyone who is anyone has a blog and a following of thousands on Twitter, what future is there for the professional journalist? As University Campus Suffolk prepares to launch a new MA in journalism, Helen Boaden, the leader of BBC journalism around the world, explains why she believes the need for quality training has never been greater.
Helen Boaden, who went to school in Ipswich, was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of East Anglia (Suffolk College) in 2002. She has won numerous journalism awards and is a Fellow of the Radio Academy.
