UCS Great Yarmouth, located at the site of Great Yarmouth College, sits in the lively seaside resort famous for its miles of Golden Sands, holiday industry and rich heritage. UCS Great Yarmouth is within easy reach of the meandering waterways of the Norfolk Broads, expanses of beautiful countryside and is a short train ride from the cultural city of Norwich.
UCS Great Yarmouth offers its students state-of-the-art facilities and industry-standard equipment on its growing range of Foundation and Honours degrees.
The majority of lecturers teaching Foundation and Honours degrees still work in, and are active in, their specialisms and have forged lasting relationships with employers.
Live projects are a large feature of students’ time at UCS Great Yarmouth. Last year, students studying FdA Visual Media Production spent many hours shooting and editing films for employers and organisations including Great Yarmouth Tourist Authority and Caister Lifeboat.
FdA Fashion and Textiles students created all 25 costumes for the Red Rose Chain’s theatre in the forest performance of Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale (watched by more than 8,500 people) and are currently working with the BBC on costumes for a drama.
The campus is a 15-20 minute walk from the town centre.
Small class sizes ensure that students receive maximum support from tutors with one-to-one mentoring.
