Mark has been an independent consultant for the last five years, specialising in coaching and developing coaching programmes. He has worked with a range of NHS organisations, with pharmaceutical companies such as Pfizer and GSK and with a number of commercial organisations, such as BT, Logica, O2 and IBM.
He has also worked as an associate for internal communications company The Storytellers and for bite-size training provider The Mind Gym.
Mark's last staff job was for the BBC, as Head of Innovation. He worked on the BBC's enormous culture change programme Making It Happen, with Greg Dyke. Before that he worked as a manager for ITN, for Cable & Wireless and for CNBC.
He is a trained executive coach and a trained counsellor.
His academic interest is in the application of coaching techniques to day-to-day management and in the use of business storytelling and Appreciative Inquiry for culture and behaviour change in organisations.
