This module revisits, clarifys and expands upon major areas of practice that have been covered in level 1 and level 2. These areas are: the genres of photography, their application and convergence, the role of the narrative in lens-based media, photographic practice in a variety of contexts, collaborative working and risk taking.
This module starts with four weeklong set briefs, which will each be introduced by a lecture and seminar about the particular issue in question and the outcomes discussed in critiques. After this initial period students are required to prepare and give a comprehensive presentation that will summarise their understanding and direction and lay out the framework for a proposal for their final major project.
