Ipswich Radiotherapy Department

The Ipswich radiotherapy department was built in 1991, and has quickly developed into a department of excellence, well known across the world for its advanced treatment techniques.

The Ipswich radiotherapy team is extremely dynamic and welcomes students to join and learn the advanced clinical skills required to become a qualified therapy radiographer. Students are always well supported during clinical placements by a clinical lecturer and mentors, who supervise training to ensure students achieve the highest possible standard.

The department is equipped with state-of-the-art treatment machines, KV Imaging equipment, and advanced planning software, which enables the team to pinpoint radiotherapy treatment accuracy to the nearest millimetre.

The bus services within Ipswich are excellent, so students can easily travel around, with the Ipswich Hospital only 10 minutes journey away from the UCS Ipswich Campus.
