The Radiology Department
The Radiology Department can be extremely busy, however It maintains a friendly atmosphere where students are always welcome. The department is totally film-less as it is equipped with the most up-to-date digital X-ray units.
The services currently provided are:

A dedicated Angiography suite providing both vascular and cardiac interventional procedures.

2 New 64 slice CT Scanners capable of the latest imaging procedures to be
provided in the UK.

2 digital Fluoroscopy rooms providing barium procedures

Several mobile and theatre machines.

An Intravenous Urography room

An accident and emergency/in-patient room

2 GP/outpatient digital general rooms

General and Obstetric Ultrasound

Students will have the opportunity to experience all of these areas of practice throughout the three years of training.
