Transcription - Changing aspirations of one student

"When I was at school I had a clash on the timetable between economics and art. I was encouraged to go towards economics because it was sensible, as with art you couldn't make career out of it. But, after a few years I've found out you actually can.

I'm a level three student. My confidence I think, has grown considerably since I've been on the course. I started the course part-time just doing one day a week while I was still working, because I wanted to find out if the course was right for me before I chucked my job in and decided to take a completely different path. That one day a week was enough for me to realise that I was doing the right thing and I should change my career. So I did leave my job and started full time and it's been a really good experience, because I now have the skills and opportunity to do something I have wanted to do for a long time."
