Rationale:
This module is concerned with personal and professional development, and allows opportunities for enhancing academic and business skills to improve graduate ‘employability’. The module focuses specifically on enhancing the students’ awareness of the need to secure their employability within the Event, Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure sectors following graduation.
The module builds on students’ existing skills to enhance both current performance and future academic and career development. The emphasis is on the needs of the individual to maximise learning opportunities within the context of self-management. It encourages students to begin to make informed decisions about their short and longer term personal and career goals.
