Leadership in Health and Social Care

Overview

This module aims to:

  • enable the practitioners to enhance their existing knowledge and skills in the area of leadership. 
  • develop the practitioner into an effective leader within their area of practice. 
  • promote increased awareness of the need for leadership in fostering high quality in the delivery of care. 
  • facilitate better communication skills and team working in order to improve care.

What will I study?

Theories of leadership, organizational structures and cultures, teamwork, dealing with conflict, leadership in change, quality, collaboration & partnership, developing team members
