Summary:

 

Epidemiological studies underpin health promotion policies, strategies and targets. This study day considers what epidemiology is, explores its methodology and considers its impact on health promotion.

 

Target Audience:

 

This study day would suit professionals who work in Primary Health Care.      

 

Aim:

 

To get to grips with what epidemiology is, its basic methods and understand the relationship between it and health promotion.

 

Outcomes:

 

You will have the opportunity to understand the role of epidemiology, basic epidemiology methods and recognise the importance of epidemiology to health promotion.
