Target Audience:
This study day is suitable for all staff who deliver care to individuals affected by dementia.
Aims:
To explore aspects of the experience of dementia to support enhanced quality of care.

Understanding the experience of dementia as a public health and a personal issue.
Considering behaviour as communication of emotions and needs.
Connection is key-person centred care.
Creating enabling environments.
Appreciation of carer stress as experienced by family members and professional carers.
