Working with Children and Young People Reflecting upon current practice

Overview

Level 6 Modules aims:

  • Enhance the practitioner’s reflective skills.
  • Promote the development of critical analysis in relation to working practices in relation to children and/or young people.
  • Enable the practitioner to explore the impact of innovations in child health care on their professional practice.

Level 7 Module aims:

  • To enable the student to formulate a coherent argument based on a critical reflection of their approach to a specific aspect of their practice with children or young people.
  • To critically analyse the nature of current policies, both legislative and professional, which inform and underpin health and social care with children and young people.
  • To enable the student to identify high quality and effective solutions to improve their area of practice.
  • To enable the student to develop cultural literacy, in order to enhance their working practice
