UCS has a centralised Admissions service which is located at the Ipswich campus in the Waterfront Building. The Admissions department is responsible for the Undergraduate, Postgraduate taught and part-time admissions to University Campus Suffolk, undertaking all aspects of Admissions administration for all programmes offered by both Ipswich and the UCS Centres. Admissions support is also provided by Higher Education Administrators at each UCS Centre.
The Admissions team deals with the formal processes relating to the admissions of students, managing their experience from application to the point of Induction with UCS.

Process applications received from UCAS and through the UCS on-line application from from initial acknowledgement through to induction and enrolment

Facilitates a centralised Admissions service for UCS Ipswich and the five UCS Centres

Work closely with the UCS Infozone to provide an informative and comprehensive service for enquirers and applicants

Work to enhance and improve the Applicant experience
The Admissions team has responsibility for:

Managing University Campus Suffolk's admissions procedures

Monitoring applications and the decisions made by academic staff

Advising applicants on UCAS procedures

Liaising with UCAS, Applicants, Schools, Colleges etc

Training and advising Admissions Tutors and disseminating relevant information

Monitoring admissions procedures and practice; ensuring fairness, consistency and compliance with the Admissions policy

Communicating with applicants directly

Assessing applications and making offers

Verifying qualifications / assessing comparability of non-UK qualifications

Providing Induction and Enrolment materials for new students

Providing accurate and relevant information for applicants and prospective applicants

Providing a range of statistical information

Fee assessment of potential International applicants

Managing adherence to UKBA regulations in the recruitment of International students

Undertake activities to encourage conversion

Co-ordination of the annual Clearing Operation

Co-ordination and organisation of the Post Application Visit Days
