School of Business, Leadership and Enterprise

Mark Parker is the Managing Director of Willis’ Global Service Centres, responsible for the group strategy for utilising Service Centres.

An East Anglian, Mark was born in Ipswich and raised in Felixstowe. He was educated locally and then went on to attend Newcastle University.

In 1984 Mark joined Willis as a Closing Technician within the International Division. Since then he has worked his way through the organisation – learning from the bottom up, which has given him a real in depth understanding and knowledge of insurance processes.

In 2006, Mark was appointed as CEO of Willis’ Mumbai Service Centre in India. Mark lived in Mumbai for just over 4 years and during this time doubled the size of the Mumbai operation from 700 to 1400 Associates.

In March 2011, Mark was appointed Managing Director of Willis’ Global Service Centres with strategic responsibility for the Group’s existing Service Centres in Ipswich, Mumbai and Nashville, covering some 3,000 Willis Associates.
