Sue Carpendale is a marketing specialist with a particular interest in marketing communications and international business. She has been teaching on undergraduate, post-graduate and professional programmes in Suffolk for nearly 20 years.
Her academic qualifications include an MA in Marketing from Greenwich University; full membership of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, holding the CIM professional postgraduate diploma; the CAM Diploma in Public Relations; the Diploma in Management Studies; and a first degree BA (Hons) in Geography from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne.
Sue is primarily involved with the MBA, and the Business Management and Event Management degrees. Part of her role is to organise the annual MBA residential study visit to Boston, Massachusetts, where we have an excellent association with the Sawyer Business School at Suffolk University and strong links with the Boston-based British Consulate.
Outside of teaching, she has worked for Ford Motor Company and Ford of Europe co-ordinating marketing, advertising and sales promotion, and has also worked as a freelance consultant advising small business and start-ups. She has been an elected District Councillor in Suffolk for 20 years, taking responsibility for functions such as Chair of Strategy Committee and Chair of Council. She is presently a member of the Europe and International Affairs Panel of EERA.
