Sue would describe herself as a ‘career tutor’ and lifelong learner, she been involved in managing and leading teams, training, education and development in Retail, Civil Engineering and in Education. She is committed to optimising students’ work based learning to enhance graduate employability, two contemporary issues investigated in her Master’s programme at Portsmouth University.

Sue’s specialism in Personal Development, Research Design and Management, Managing Learning, International Culture and Communication, Leadership and Management and in adapting teaching and learning to suit individual student needs plays an important and substantive part of her role. In addition to her Course Leadership at UCS, Sue is a director of two companies; hence she keeps up to date with, and has practical experience of many business management issues, especially with regard to customer service, managing diverse teams, running HR functions and career development and progression. Her students benefit from her experience which helps to place their own studies into perspective. She has supported many students in their undergraduate and post graduate investigations into a diverse range of subject interests and has gained insights into a wide range of research topics and workplace environments.
