Simon Faiers

School of Business, Leadership and Enterprise

As a part-time lecturer in the School of Business, Leadership & Enterprise, Simon teaches human resource management to post graduate students. For the balance of his time he consults and advises on human resource management.
Following a career in the UK energy sector (until 1999 as Head of Human Resources at Eastern Group plc), Simon has undertaken a range of assignments as a consultant.

As a Director of energypeople limited and an associate of British Power International he advises on HR, organisation and governance matters working mainly in the UK and south Asia. Countries of recent work experience include Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal and Nigeria. In an independent capacity, he advises British Transport Police and other organisations on employment matters.
Since 2000, he has been a member of the Central Arbitration Committee. He is also an Independent Public Appointments Assessor, accredited by OCPA, working mainly with the Welsh Assembly Government.

Educated at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne (BA Hons) and Warwick University Business School (MA), Simon is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
