Carol Faiers

Senior Lecturer

School of Business, Leadership and Enterprise

Carol leads the full time MBA programme at UCS and teaches Professional and Career Development, Management Skills and Human Resource Management across a range of the School’s programme. She is also is personal tutor for first year BA Business Management students.  

As part of a research team Carol developed the use of virtual learning environments and used this experience to pilot on-line learning in the Business School. She has retained an interest in enhancing the student experience through effective use of technology. Carol is currently involved in embedding 'employability' in undergraduate programmes in the School and works closely with local employers to promote student internships. She also has responsibility for coordinating the implementation of the Graduate Headstart programme.

After ten years of experience working in HR, Carol began a career in higher education. As a part time Senior Lecturer she contributes to UCS-wide developments in teaching, learning and assessment.

Educated at the University of Essex (BA Hons) and UEA, Carol has an MA in Human Resource Strategy, a PGCE and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She is on the local branch committee of the Chartered Management Institute and Company Director for a small HR Consultancy.
