Sam Burton

Sam graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a BA (Hons) in Broadcast Journalism. She went on to work in factual television for four years, before starting her career in the film industry.

Sam was Talent Executive at Screen East, the regional screen agency for the East of England for eight years and now works as a freelance media professional. While at Screen East Sam was Executive Producer for the Digital Shorts scheme run in partnership with the UK Film Council, making short films with emerging regional writers, directors and producers. She was Executive Producer for the short film After Tomorrow, which was nominated for a Palme d’Or at Cannes 2009 and won Best British Short at Edinburgh 2009. 

She continues her practice and is currently working on a number of film projects.
