Matthew has recently joined UCS as a Lecturer in Photography and joins a well-established team of Practitioners/ Lecturers within the discipline. Having completed a PGCE in 2009 he has taught across several disciplines at both FE and HE level.
Matthew's educational history includes him graduating from The Surrey Institute of Art & Design with a 1st class Degree in Photography. He then went on to study an MA in Photography at the London College of Communication (LCC), where he won the prestigious Sproxton Memorial Prize for his work The Rise & The Fall. http://www.sproxtonphotographyaward.org/|

His work has been exhibited nationally, and published in multiple Journals including PHOTOWORKS and DOTA magazine. He has also written about the photograph and it's relation to Archives and the Internet. Matthew is continuing his research into the use of the Photograph as a document, and it's relation to Archives and Museum culture.
Matthew is a founding member of thenetwerk®| - a photography research group formed by practitioners/ lecturers based across East Anglia, UK.
Matthew has also been working as a freelance fashion & advertising photographer since 2005, his clients include French Connection and Pantene.
