Alexandra Leaney

Alexandra Leaney graduated from Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota with a BA in Economics and Studio Art. She then went on to complete two MA’s at the University of East Anglia, the first in Film and Television Studies and the second in Scriptwriting.

Her current PhD research is in the field of scriptwriting and focuses on 'point-of-view' within the screenwriting process. She is also working on a series of ten minute shorts, a feature length crime thriller, and her various research interests include the representation of race, ethnicity, gender and sexuality in film.
