Carol Gant is the Arts Curator for the School of Arts and Humanities. She is responsible for managing the creative development of the Waterfront Gallery, internal and external exhibitions and developing relationships with external partners to support the curriculum and enhance student experience.

Carol completed her arts education at UCS in 2008 where she gained a first class degree in Fine Art. She is a practising visual artist whose practice encompasses sculpture, installation, video and performance. Her main interest is in site specific installations which involve public participation and interaction. One of these works entitled Kiss It Better received regional television and media coverage. She has exhibited in various exhibitions since graduating and has recently exhibited as part of an international exhibition entitled Response.

Prior to working at UCS Carol had a successful career working in management for Marks and Spencers. Carol’s previous roles also include that of Arts and Heritage Officer for Suffolk Coastal District Council developing and delivering community based arts projects within the region.
