Andrew began his working career as an apprentice with the Post Office Research Department based in Dollis Hill, London. The research department relocated to Martlesham Heath in Suffolk where he spent a further ten years working in many aspects of optical fibre communications.
Andrew decided to fulfil an ambition by studying full-time for a degree. He received a BSc (Hons) in Electronic Design and Technology from UEA in Norwich.
Andrew enjoyed the academic environment and begun a 20 year stint working in Further and Higher Education. From Suffolk College Audio Visual Unit, through many metamorphoses, to UCS IT Services.
Over 20 years Andrew has been involved in the increasing provision of AV facilities available in teaching rooms, from now-gone Suffolk College buildings, to new UCS builds and a major refurbishments.
Andrew looks forward to future involvement with new projects and technologies that improve teaching delivery.
Andrew has gained postgraduate qualifications in Management and Employment Law.
Throughout his career Andrew has been actively involved as a trade union representative.
When he can, Andrew enjoys: reading, walking in the country, playing the trombone, and plucking various string instruments.
