David Edwards is Chairman of NHS Great Yarmouth and Waveney, the organization responsible for assessing and meeting the health care needs of it’s local population.
Previously a Non-Executive Director of the James Paget University Hospital Foundation Trust, David is a Governor at that hospital and also a Governor of the Norfolk and Waveney Mental Health Partnership.
He is a member of the Governing Council of the University of East Anglia and has chaired their Audit Committee. He is currently on the Board of UCS and is a member of UEA’s Effectiveness and Finance Committees.
The interest in and passion for Health Care and Education comes from over 40 years involvement, 25 years of which was spent as a Chief Executive specializing in major University Teaching Hospitals in Birmingham, Nottingham and Cardiff.
He was awarded the OBE for services to Health Care in 2005
