The biggest rises for the institution in this year’s rankings came from Art and Design, up 22 places to rank 46/81, and Nursing, up 20 places to rank 48/78. Other considerable improvements in the rankings were within the areas of English (up 19 places), Social Work (up 6 places) and Business and Management Studies (up 6 places).
For the first time, History and Computer Sciences and IT at UCS featured in the league table with both posting impressive ranking scores. UCS has been ranked as the 17th best institution for History subjects in the UK while Computer Sciences and IT ranked a respectable 95.
