The second in a series of masterclasses for Suffolk entrepreneurs is taking place at UCS Ipswich on Monday 5 December.
Funded by ideaSpace Enterprise Accelerator and run in conjunction with UCS and Suffolk Digital, the Suffolk Start-up Masterclass programme’s launch event in October was a great success with a packed audience of students, entrepreneurs, investors and journalists.
This time the seminar is focusing on how to turn those big ideas into real businesses with two seasoned entrepreneurs sharing their expertise and answering questions. First65 and AOB founder Adrian Melrose will be explaining how to validate your business ideas and Steve Flory, Managing Director of Suffolk Offset and Hudson Signs, will be sharing his experiences on how to find customers.
The interactive session will inspire those involved with early stage companies, as well as those contemplating forming their own start-ups, and will arm them with the vision and encouragement to succeed.
“At UCS our aim is to work with our partners to provide stimulating and supportive environments to unlock the start-up potential in Suffolk” said Charles Wilby, UCS Senior Business Development Manager. “The Start-up Masterclass events form an important part of our strategy to support the business community and foster innovation.”
“Suffolk is full of creative and innovative people,” said Steve Butterworth of Suffolk Digital. “The Start-up Masterclass programme aims to get these people together, help them learn and interact to enable a new generation of Suffolk start-ups.”
The event runs from 6-9pm and will include lots of top tips from people that have been there and succeeded. There will also be the opportunity for open discussion and the chance to make new connections in the local start-up community.
