The Ipswich Christmas Tree Trail, a competition organised by the Suffolk Craft Society, began on Monday with the installation of wooden Christmas Trees at a variety of venues across the town centre.
The trail begins at the Tourist Information Centre in St Stephen's Church and finishes at the Town Hall Galleries, going via DanceEast, the UCS Waterfront Building, Ipswich Regent Theatre, Ipswich Library, Christchurch Mansion, Ipswich Art School, Ipswich Museum and the New Wolsey Theatre.
Each tree in the trail has a small item from one of the Suffolk Craft Society's makers (such as a small piece of ceramics) securely attached to it and is also labelled with information about the trail and the makers name.
To join in, participants should collect and complete an entry sheet, detailing which object they find on each tree, the makers name and where they have found it. Once all the clues have been found, the form should be returned to the Suffolk Craft Society at the Town Hall Galleries in order to be entered into a draw for a £100 gift voucher to spend in Gallery 2.
Entry sheets are available from the Town Hall Galleries and from the Suffolk Craft Society website|
