A student on the FdA Music Production course at UCS Bury St Edmunds has released a single to raise money and awareness for people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

Damian Ulysses has produced the single, 'Day of the Runner', which was released on iTunes in September. Any profits will be donated to the UK MS Society.

Damian said: “The music is a blend of electronica and orchestral music. During the recording stages of the project, I felt there were two major factors that needed to be addressed. First, how do people cope with knowing they have Multiple Sclerosis? The orchestral element expresses the emotions they go through; inspiration, enthusiasm, anxiety, sadness and so on.

“The second factor is the human body and how we use it in everyday life. The runner is an example of the human body in action, and the electronica and more synthetic elements represent the human body as a machine.”

An album, titled 'The Runner', the soundtrack for the independent film of the same name, is scheduled for release on 10 October 2011, also on iTunes.
