UCS congratulates A Level Students

University Campus Suffolk (UCS) would like to congratulate students throughout the region who are receiving their A level results today. We would also like to remind everyone that it is not too late to apply to university, as there are still vacancies available through clearing on many courses at UCS.

This year, staff at UCS have already seen an increase in enquiries about places through clearing and are expecting to be busier than ever, as students receive their results. UCS is a friendly and welcoming environment and staff are available to give advice and support to all prospective students throughout this stressful period, whether they have only recently decided to continue or return to studying, or perhaps did not achieve the results that had hoped for. Whatever the situation may be concerning future studies, UCS is here to help.

Places are still available on a range of full and part-time undergraduate and postgraduate courses at UCS starting this September. An official list of UCS vacancies is featured in the UCAS listings in the Telegraph today and is also available on the UCAS website|. Vacancy information published on this site will be continually updated throughout the clearing period. In addition, clearing information and advice is available on the Clearing pages of the UCS website.

To find out if UCS has course to suit you this September, students are invited to call the Clearing hotline on 01473 338352 or to ‘drop in’ to one of the Clearing Open Events| running at the Ipswich campus on Saturday 20 August, from 10am – 1pm, and Wednesday 24 August, from 4pm – 7pm. In addition, students can call in to the UCS Infozone, based in the Waterfront Building at the Ipswich campus, where there are advisors ready to help with enquiries.

Head of Admissions, Lucy Whitmore said, “Even though we are expecting to be busy during clearing and recommend that students get in touch quickly this year, it is still important that they don’t panic and rush into a course that they are not sure about. We understand that this time of year is often a worrying time for individuals considering continuing their education and we really hope that students take advantage of our open events and get in touch with us to discuss the options available.”
