Thousands of new and returning UCS students descended on the Welcome Week Fair at the Ipswich Campus on Thursday 23 September, the single biggest event organised by UCS Union.
The Welcome Week Fair provided students with information on clubs, societies, UCS support, charities and local businesses. Around 70 stalls were at the Waterfront building to showcase what is available to UCS students for the new academic year.
Andy Speed, UCS Union President, said: “This year’s Fair was our biggest and best event to date with our 70 stallholders in attendance. We want students to get involved with activities on campus to help them establish new friendships to support them through their time at UCS. It’s also important for students to quickly learn what facilities are available and what the local community has to offer.”
Ben Tuck, UCS Union Welfare Officer, said: “The Fair is part of a week of events which help students to find their feet on campus. It’s an exciting way to showcase the services and support the Union offers to its 5,500 members.”
